Background

Required for pre-mRNA splicing as component of the spliceosome, including pre-catalytic, catalytic and post-catalytic spliceosomal complexes . Component of the U5 snRNP and the U4/U6-U5 tri-snRNP complex, a building block of the spliceosome . As a component of the minor spliceosome, involved in the splicing of U12-type introns in pre-mRNAs (Probable).

Western blot analysis of SNRP116 expression in zebrafish (A) whole cell lysates. (Predicted band size: 109 kD; Observed band size: 116 kD)

Immunohistochemical analysis of SNRP116 staining in human lung cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
