Intended Use
For epitope retrieval prior to immunohistochemical staining.
Detection Principle
Tissues or cells fixed with paraformaldehyde, formaldehyde or other aldehyde reagents will form cross-links between proteins, masking antigen epitopes and weakening staining signals during immunoassay.
Heat treatment of tissue sections in epitope retrieval buffer can restore masked antigen epitopes, break cross-linked peptide chains without destroying epitope structures. It enhances specific staining intensity, reduces non-specific background, and lowers false positive and false negative results.

Result Interpretation
Interpretation depends on tissue type and experimental purposes.
Note: For clinical IHC testing, results must be interpreted by qualified pathologists.
Influencing Factors
1.Operators must receive professional training and follow standard operating procedures.
2.Measuring tools and instruments shall be calibrated to avoid errors.

Limitations
1.Professional operators and certified laboratories standardize testing and reduce operational deviations caused by external factors.
2.Heat retrieval duration varies greatly due to differences in tissue fixation conditions; users shall optimize conditions via preliminary tests.

Precautions
1.This reagent is only for epitope retrieval of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections before IHC staining.
2.Read the full manual before experiments.
3.Use within the stated shelf life.
4.Restricted to professionally trained or experienced operators.
5.Over-retrieval may lead to abnormal staining; insufficient retrieval causes weak signals.
6.Optimize retrieval conditions via pre-experiments; use positively charged adhesive slides.
7.Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Flush exposed areas with abundant clean water immediately if contact occurs.
8.Wear latex gloves, masks, goggles and lab coats for protection during operation.
9.All waste generated shall be disposed of in accordance with Regulations on the Administration of Medical Wastes.
