Background

May act as scaffolding protein, and as adapter protein to couple membrane receptors to intracellular signaling pathways (Probable). Acts as a mediator of cell spreading and actin cytoskeleton rearrangement . Acts as a mediator of cell spreading and actin cytoskeleton rearrangement . Core component of the CTLH E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex that selectively accepts ubiquitin from UBE2H and mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of the transcription factor HBP1 . May be involved in signaling of ITGB2/LFA-1 and other integrins . Enhances HGF-MET signaling by recruiting Sos and activating the Ras pathway .

Western blot analysis of RANBP9 expression in Hela (A), U2OS (B), Jurkat (C), CCRFCEM (D), MDAMB231 (E), MOLT4 (F) whole cell lysates. (Predicted band size: 77 kD; Observed band size: 95 kD)

Immunohistochemical analysis of RANBP9 staining in human heart formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
