GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for ADP ribosylation factor 1 (ARF1). Hydrolysis of ARF1-bound GTP may lead to dissociation of coatomer from Golgi-derived membranes to allow fusion with target membranes.

Western blot analysis of ARFGAP3 expression in HepG2 (A), mouse pancreas (B) whole cell lysates. (Predicted band size: 51; 56 kD; Observed band size: 57 kD)

Immunohistochemical analysis of ARFGAP3 staining in human pancreas formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
