Background

Actin-binding protein that contains 2 major actin binding sites . Organizes filamentous actin into parallel bundles . Plays a role in the organization of actin filament bundles and the formation of microspikes, membrane ruffles, and stress fibers . Important for the formation of a diverse set of cell protrusions, such as filopodia, and for cell motility and migration . Mediates reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and axon growth cone collapse in response to NGF .

Data

Immunohistochemical analysis of Fascin staining in human hodgkin's lymphoma formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
