Background

The small GTPases Rab are key regulators of intracellular membrane trafficking, from the formation of transport vesicles to their fusion with membranes. Rabs cycle between an inactive GDP-bound form and an active GTP-bound form that is able to recruit to membranes different sets of downstream effectors directly responsible for vesicle formation, movement, tethering and fusion . RAB27B regulates homeostasis of late endocytic pathway, including endosomal positioning, maturation and secretion . Plays a role in NTRK2/TRKB axonal anterograde transport by facilitating the association of NTRK2/TRKB with KLC1 . May be involved in targeting uroplakins to urothelial apical membranes .

Western blot analysis of RAB27B expression in DU145 (A), mouse stomach (B) whole cell lysates. (Predicted band size: 24 kD; Observed band size: 25 kD)

Flow cytometric analysis of A431 cells using Anti-RAB27B Antibody. The cells were fixed with 2% paraformaldehyde (10 min) and then permeabilized with 90% methanol for 10 min. The cells were incubated in 2% bovine serum albumin to block non-specific protein-protein interactions followed by the antibody at 37 °C for 60 min. The secondary antibody Goat Anti-Mouse IgG (H&L) - AREX® Fluor 488 was incubated at 37 °C for 40 min. Isotype control antibody (blue line) was used under the same condition.
