Background

Tyrosine protein phosphatase which functions as a dosage-dependent inducer of mitotic progression . Directly dephosphorylates CDK1 and stimulates its kinase activity . Required for G2/M phases of the cell cycle progression and abscission during cytokinesis in a ECT2-dependent manner . The three isoforms seem to have a different level of activity .

Western blot analysis of CDC25B expression in mouse brain (A) whole cell lysates. (Predicted band size: 64 kD; Observed band size: 65 kD)

Immunofluorescent analysis of CDC25B staining in THP1 cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a humidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a DyLight 594-conjugated secondary antibody (red) in PBS at room temperature in the dark. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue).

Storage

Store at 4°C short term. For long term storage, store at -20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.
